We all know the sacrifice that we are making for the common good. I for one thank you for doing what is best for all. I’m not worried about myself, because in my mind I am still 30 and invincible. Today I want to share a memory from about that time.
My friend (who shall remain nameless) and I met whilst at university. In our late twenties we had a habit of retiring to The Fawkner Club Hotel on a Saturday afternoon. Our drinks of choice…Scotch for me, Brandy for her. Another friend had invited us around for a BBQ. He was known as Mr. Party and could turn any occasion into an EVENT. So we hatched a plan to knock the wind out of his sails.
We hired matching costumes. A little more makeup than usual, and before you knew it we had been transformed into Tweedledum and Tweedledee. I can’t remember who was who, but the look on the face of our host when he opened the door was….priceless.
Over the years we have celebrated many milestones together. Whilst we might be separated from our closest family and friends today, I believe these bonds cannot be broken, even by Covid-19. Happy Easter 🙂
